The Big C: Showtime Television Series

The Big C is a Showtime original television series created by Darlene Hunt which premiered on August 16, 2010. Filmmaker Bill Condon directed the pilot for the series. It drew the largest audience for a Showtime original series premiere in eight years. Since then, Showtime announced that a second season of The Big C will premiere on June 27, 2011.
The show follows Cathy Jamison, a reserved suburban wife and mother whose recent melanoma diagnosis forces her to shake up her life and find hope, humor and the light side of a dark situation, while managing her immature but well-meaning husband.
The Big C Season 2 Episode 1 (Losing Patients) airs: Tuesday, 28 June 2011 at 9:30pm EDT on Showtime. Synopsis of the episode: Cathy seeks a second opinion; Sean adjusts to life with pregnant Rebecca; Adam sees a therapist.
The Big C Season 2 Episode 2 (Musical Chairs) airs: Monday, July 4, 2011 at 10:30pm EDT on Showtime. Synopsis of the episode: Cathy resorts to supernatural aid; Sean becomes assertive; Adam capitalizes on his classmates' sympathy.
