Criminal Minds: American Police Procedural Drama

American Greed Season 5 Episode 15 airs on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 10:00pm EDT on CNBC TV channel.

Criminal Minds is an American police procedural drama that premiered September 22, 2005 on CBS. The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virginia. The BAU is part of the FBI National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime. Criminal Minds differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself. The show is produced by The Mark Gordon Company in association with CBS Television Studios and ABC Studios. The original title for Criminal Minds was Quantico, and the pilot was filmed in Vancouver. In the Quantico script, Jason Gideon was named Jason Donovan.
On May 26, 2010, CBS officially renewed Criminal Minds for a sixth season, which premiered on September 22, 2010. A spin-off series, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, premiered on February 16, 2011 as a mid-season addition to CBS's 2011 schedule, following right after Criminal Minds.
CBS announced in October 2009 that Legacy Interactive will develop a video game based on the show. The game will require players to examine crime scenes for clues to help solve murder mysteries. The game is scheduled to come out early 2011.

Law and Order: SVU: American Police Procedural TV Drama

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (often abbreviated to Law & Order: SVU) is an American police procedural television drama series set in New York City, where it is also primarily produced. Created and produced by Dick Wolf and airing on NBC, the series premiered on September 20, 1999 as the first spin-off of Wolf's successful crime drama, Law & Order. Currently in its 12th season, the series has produced 269 episodes to date.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit originally centered almost exclusively around the detectives of the Special Victims Unit in a fictional version of the 16th Precinct of the New York City Police Department (NYPD). In the style of the original Law & Order, episodes are often "ripped from the headlines" or loosely based on real crimes that have received media attention. The show stars Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler, a senior detective in the Manhattan SVU, and Mariska Hargitay as his partner, Detective Olivia Benson. As the series progressed, additional supporting characters were added as allies of the detectives in the Manhattan District Attorney's office and the Medical Examiner's office. Typical episodes follow the detectives and their colleagues as they investigate and prosecute sexually based offenses. The additional cast includes Stephanie March, B.D. Wong, Tamara Tunie, Dann Florek, Richard Belzer, and rapper Ice-T.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is currently the highest-rated series of the Law & Order franchise, and presently NBC's top rated scripted drama. The series has been nominated for and won numerous awards, including the 2006 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Hargitay (the first Emmy to be received by a regular on any Law & Order series).

The half-hour series is produced by Levitan-Lloyd Productions and affiliated with 20th Century Fox Television. Shown in mockumentary style, the characters talk directly to the cameras during a faux situation. The story follows the families of Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill), his daughter Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), and his son Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) who live in a suburban community of Los Angeles, California. Claire is a homemaker mother married to Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell); they have three children—Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter), and Luke (Nolan Gould). After splitting with his longtime wife, Jay has re-married with a much younger Colombian woman, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett (Sofía Vergara), and is helping her raise her pre-teen son, Manny (Rico Rodriguez). Mitchell and his partner Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) have adopted a Vietnamese baby, Lily.
Lloyd and Levitan conceptualized the series while sharing stories of their own "modern families." Moreover, they are the executive producers. The series premiered to critical acclaim and was watched by 12.61 million viewers. Early on it was named as a big contender for the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards. Soon after the series was picked up for a full season on October 8, 2009. On January 12, 2010, Modern Family was renewed for a second season by ABC.

The Middle (displayed in the title credits as "the middle.") is an American comedy television series that premiered on ABC on September 30, 2009. The show features Frances "Frankie" Heck (née Spence, Patricia Heaton), a middle-class, Midwestern woman married to Mike Heck (Neil Flynn) who reside in the small fictional town of Orson, Indiana. They are the parents of three children, Axl, Sue, and Brick. The show was picked up for a full season of 22 episodes after airing just two episodes. On January 10, 2011, the show was renewed for a third season by ABC.
Frankie and her husband Mike, a manager at a quarry, have lived their whole lives in Orson, a fictitious small town in Indiana. Frankie is so far the least successful salesperson at the local car dealership, a job she explains she took only after the dentist office she worked in closed down.
Axl, the oldest, is her rebellious teenage son and was conceived with Guns N' Roses playing a significant role. He usually appears at home wearing only boxer shorts and regards any task or chore asked of him to be an enormous imposition. A handsome and confident teen, he is a school star athlete but struggles academically. Sue, the middle child and only daughter, wears braces, part of the reason for her almost neurotic self-consciousness. She attempts to cure this by frequently trying to join school organizations, but consistently fails. Because of this she has developed formidable resilience. Brick, the youngest child, is a very bright but socially awkward and quirky nine-year-old, who was given an unusual name in the vain hope that he would develop into an equally cool kid.
The Middle Season 2 Episode 21 airs: Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 8:00pm EDT on WABC (ABC) TV channel.
