Iron Chef America: The Series is an American cooking show based on Fuji Television's Iron Chef, and is the second American adaptation of the series, following the failed Iron Chef USA. The show is produced by Food Network, which also carried a dubbed version of the original Iron Chef. Like the original Japanese program, the program is a culinary game show. In each episode, a new challenger chef competes against one of the resident "Iron Chefs" in a one-hour cooking competition based on a theme ingredient.
The show is presented as a successor to the original Iron Chef, as opposed to being a remake. The Chairman is portrayed by martial artist Mark Dacascos, who is introduced as the nephew of the original Japanese chairman Takeshi Kaga. The commentary is provided solely by Alton Brown, and Kevin Brauch is the floor reporter. In addition, regular ICA judge Ted Allen provided additional floor commentary for two special battles: Battle First Thanksgiving (Symon/Flay v. Cora/Morimoto) and Battle White House Produce (Batali/Lagasse v. Flay/Comerford).
Per the introduction fiction from the Battle of the Masters miniseries (and ignoring story elements from the 2002 Iron Chef Japan Cup Special), Chairman Kaga (the character) has ordered his nephew to continue the tradition of Kitchen Stadium, initially in Los Angeles, where the Battle of the Masters took place, before establishing a permanent Kitchen Stadium in New York's Chelsea Market. For the Battle of the Masters, the elder Chairman dispatched two Iron Chefs: Hiroyuki Sakai and Masaharu Morimoto.
Unlike the original Iron Chef or Iron Chef USA, Alton Brown, rather than the Chairman, is credited as the show's host.

On the Case With Paula Zahn: Discovery Channel TV Show

Paula Ann Zahn (born February 24, 1956) is an American journalist, newscaster, former news anchor on ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, and CNN. On July 24, 2007, she announced her resignation from CNN. The final broadcast of Paula Zahn Now aired August 2, 2007. In January 2009, Discovery Communications announced that Zahn had entered into a development deal for a newsmagazine series, On the Case with Paula Zahn. The series, which profiles real crime stories, premiered October 18, 2009 on the Investigation Discovery cable channel.
Zahn was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to a schoolteacher/artist mother and an IBM sales executive father. She initially grew up in Canton, Ohio, with her parents and three siblings. The family relocated to Naperville, Illinois, as her father's job as required them to move frequently. She once joked that "IBM" really stood for "I've been moved". She attended Washington Junior High School in Naperville and later graduated from Naperville Central High School in 1974. She also competed in several beauty pageants, making the finals of the 1973 Miss Teenage America Pageant. Zahn continued her education at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri on a cello scholarship, and received firsthand knowledge of the news business by working as an intern at WBBM-TV in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Zahn then spent the next 10 years working at local stations around the country, including WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas, KFMB-TV in San Diego, California, KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas, WHDH-TV (then WNEV) in Boston, Massachusetts, and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, California.

The Real World: Reality Television Show on MTV

The Real World Season 25 Episode 12 (Las Vegas) airs: Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 10:00pm EDT on MTV - Music Television.
The Real World is a reality television program on MTV originally produced by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray. First broadcast in 1992, the show is the longest-running program in MTV history, and one of the longest-running reality series in history, credited with launching the modern reality TV genre.
The series was hailed in its early years for depicting issues of contemporary young-adulthood relevant to its core audience, such as sexuality, prejudice and substance abuse, but later garnered a reputation as a showcase for immature and irresponsible behavior.
Following Bunim’s death from breast cancer in 2004, Bunim/Murray Productions continues to produce the program. The show's twenty-fifth season, set in Las Vegas, premiered on March 9, 2011. The show has been picked up by MTV through its 28th season.

Judge Jeanine Pirro (known simply as Judge Pirro since the premiere of its second season) is a syndicated American television court show that debuted on September 22, 2008. As with other court shows, such as Judge Mathis and Judge Judy, a former judge serves as an arbitrator, and awards the litigants monetary judgments, of up to $5000, which is paid in full by the program's producers.
Former Westchester County, New York District Attorney Jeanine Pirro presides over the series. Judge Pirro, which the series is now known as, tapes in Chicago at NBC Tower, the NBC network's Chicago broadcast base and home to the related courtroom series Judge Mathis, and is produced by Telepictures Productions, with Warner Bros. distributing the series nationwide. Greg Mathis, who presides over the aforementioned Judge Mathis, serves as this series' executive producer.
Upon its premiere, Judge Pirro was made part of The CW Daytime programming block (meaning that, while technically a syndicated series, it only aired on CW affiliates). Following its first season The Tyra Banks Show was pulled from national syndication and took over Judge Pirro's place in the CW Daytime lineup, resulting in the series moving to other stations. The series now airs on a majority of Fox-owned stations nationwide.
On November 23, 2009, Broadcasting Cable announced that Fox had renewed Judge Jeanine Pirro for a third season.

Wipeout is hosted and commentated by John Henson and John Anderson while Jill Wagner acts as the "on-location" presenter. The creators and executive producers are Matt Kunitz (Fear Factor) and Scott Larsen. Distribution of the show is handled by Endemol USA. The show is taped at Sable Ranch in Canyon Country, Santa Clarita, California, about 40 miles north of Los Angeles.

Outsourced is an American television sitcom that is set in an Indian workplace. It is based on the John Jeffcoat film of the same name and adapted by Ken Kwapis (In Cahoots Productions) and Universal Media Studios for NBC. The series was officially picked up by NBC on May 7, 2010. It premiered on September 23, 2010. On October 18, 2010, the show received a full season order by NBC. Outsourced is filmed at Radford Studios in Studio City, Los Angeles, California.
Outsourced is set in a call center in Mumbai, India, where an American novelties company has recently outsourced its order processing. A lone American manages the call center and must explain American popular culture to his employees as he tries to understand Indian culture.

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior: Police Procedural Drama on WCBS (CBS)

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior Season 1 Episode 11 (Strays) airs on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00pm EDT on WCBS (CBS).
Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior is an American police procedural drama on CBS. The show debuted in 2011 as a spin-off from the successful Criminal Minds, which premiered in 2005. This edition's profiling team also works for the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) in Quantico, Virginia. In an April 2010 episode of Criminal Minds ("The Fight"), the original team met the new team and worked with them to find a San Francisco serial killer as the series' backdoor pilot.
Just like the parent series, CBS will own the underlying North American rights, while ABC owns the international rights. The series premiered on February 16, 2011, in the Wednesdays at 10pm time slot following out of the original Criminal Minds.

Auction Hunters: American Documentary Reality TV Series on SPIKE TV

Auction Hunters is an American documentary reality television series that premiered on November 9, 2010 on Spike. The first season currently airs on Tuesdays at 10:00 pm.
On December 1, 2010, Spike announced that it had ordered a second season of 20 episodes.
The show follows Allen Haff, a second generation antiques dealer, and Clinton "Ton" Jones, who has experience in a variety of fields including guns and mystery safes, as they participate in storage unit auctions throughout Southern California. The pair leads viewers through the process of bidding on and winning abandoned storage units, appraising the items found within, and selling the most lucrative and interesting pieces to experts or collectors.
Each episode begins with a text disclaimer stating that Haff and Jones purchase hundreds of units each year, and that only their rarest and most valuable finds are presented on the show.

Superjail: American Animated TV Show on Cartoon Network

Superjail Season 2 Episode 6 (Ghosts) airs on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 12:00am EDT on Cartoon Network.
Superjail! is an American animated television series produced by Augenblick Studios the first season and Titmouse, Inc. the second season. The series follows the events that take place in an unusual prison. The pilot episode aired on television on May 13, 2007, and its first season began on September 28, 2008. Superjail! is characterized by its psychedelic shifts in setting and plot and extreme graphic violence, which give the series a TV-MA V rating. These elements are depicted through highly elaborate animated sequences, which have been described as "baroque and complicated and hard to take in at a single viewing". In November 2009, cable television network Adult Swim revealed via the bumper cards in their commercials that a second season has been ordered and its scripts finished.
Season 2 began airing on April 3, 2011.
The majority of Superjail! is set inside the eponymous prison. Externally, Superjail is built inside a volcano which is itself located in a larger volcano. Internally, it seems to constitute its own reality, where the fabric of time and space is extremely fluid and changes at the whim of the Warden. Superjail's inmate population is stated by Jared to be in excess of 70,000, although the show's creators mention that the jail processes "billions of inmates".
In the first season, each episode begins with a linear story revolving around an irresponsible scheme concocted by the Warden to satisfy some whim. The episode builds up in both violence and surrealism into a climactic, psychedelic blood bath during which dozens of inmates are brutally murdered, either by one another or some external force.
Beginning with the second season, the creators modified the format of the series to focus more on character development and story as opposed to simply providing a pretext for the slaughters that characterized each episode in the first season. The second season premiere "Best Friends Forever" demonstrated an immediate break from the first season's template, focusing the episode on Jailbot and Jared as opposed to the Warden, setting half of the episode outside of the prison, and lacking an extended murder sequence in the climax.

Giada at Home: A Food Network TV Show

Giada at Home is a Daytime Emmy-nominated Food Network show hosted by Giada De Laurentiis. It first aired on October 18, 2008.
The show was nominated for two Daytime Emmys in 2009: for Outstanding Culinary Program and Outstanding Directing in a Lifestyle/Culinary Program, and won for the latter award.
The show was nominated for four Daytime Emmys in 2010 for Outstanding Multi-Camera Editing, Outstanding Directing in a Lifestyle/Culinary Program, Outstanding Lifestyle/Culinary Host (Giada De Laurentiis) and Outstanding Culinary Program. It won in the categories of Outstanding Directing in a Lifestyle/Culinary Program (2nd year in a row) and Outstanding Culinary Program.
The show moves beyond Italian cooking, and instead focuses on Giada cooking for friends and family, as well as party planning. Contrary to the title, the show is not taped at Giada's house. It is shot in a studio in a rented home in Malibu.
